In 2006, I became enchanted with chain maille, when I first came across this unique style of jewelry. Chain maille is made by linking rings together in patterns. (Think knight’s armor.)
The only tools needed for this ancient craft are two pair of pliers. In our industrialized, tech-savvy world, the sheer simplicity of making maille appeals to me.
In my work, I strive to harnesses the power of repeating patterns and celebrate the beauty of these ancient designs. I work in precious metals making heirloom quality pieces.
In 2011, I started Pat Brazill Chain Maille Jewelry & became a full time mailler. Today you can buy my work in select stores, at craft fairs and online.
